In a dramatic turn of events, the Lagos State Police Command successfully rescued an American citizen who attempted to commit suicide on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos. The incident occurred on Monday, June 10, when the man, in his early 30s, was driven to the bridge by his baby mama.

According to eyewitnesses, the man directed his baby mama to park on the bridge and then attempted to jump into the lagoon. However, a passerby quickly alerted the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) operatives who were patrolling the area. The operatives promptly persuaded the man not to jump and reunited him with his baby mama.

The Commander of the RRS, Olayinka Egbeyemi, advised the man and his family and directed that the case be transferred to the Gender Department of the police command for further counseling and necessary actions.

This heroic rescue is a testament to the swift response and dedication of the Lagos police force in saving lives.
