In a recent announcement, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has declared that all prospective corps members must provide their National Identification Numbers (NIN) to register for the 2024 Batch B service year. This move is aimed at strengthening the online registration process and ensuring the authenticity of corps members' data.

According to the NYSC management, "National Identification Number (NIN) is a compulsory requirement for them to register for NYSC mobilization into national service." This means that any prospective corps member without a valid NIN will not be able to complete their registration.

To ensure a seamless registration process, the NYSC is working in collaboration with the National Identification Management Commission (NIMC). However, some prospective corps members have encountered issues linking their NIN to the registration platform. The NYSC has acknowledged these technical issues and is working to resolve them.

In the meantime, affected prospective corps members are advised to exercise patience and await a solution. The NYSC reassured them that they are working diligently with NIMC to address the challenges.

This new requirement is part of the NYSC's efforts to enhance the registration process and maintain accurate records of corps members. Prospective corps members are encouraged to obtain their NIN and complete their registration without delay.
