Edwin Clark to Tinubu: Release Nnamdi Kanu like Miyetti Allah Leader

In a recent statement, Elder Statesman and prominent Ijaw leader, Chief Edwin Clark, called on President Bola Tinubu to release the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, from detention.

Clark drew parallels between Kanu's case and that of the Miyetti Allah leader, who was released despite being accused of terrorism. He argued that Kanu's continued detention was unjust and hypocritical, given the federal government's handling of similar cases involving other ethnic groups.

"The Federal Government's double standard in handling similar cases is worrisome," Clark said. "If the Miyetti Allah leader, accused of terrorism, could be released, why should Nnamdi Kanu be held perpetually?"

Clark's call for Kanu's release has sparked intense debate and discussion, with many Nigerians weighing in on the matter. While some support Clark's stance, others believe Kanu's release would be a threat to national security.

As the conversation continues, one thing is clear: the issue of Nnamdi Kanu's detention remains a sensitive and contentious one in Nigeria's political landscape.
